The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers who provide relief to victims of disaster, and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. For more than 80 years, the American Red Cross North Treasure Coast Chapter, which includes Indian River and St. Lucie counties, has been providing food, shelter and support for families in disasters large and small, and teaching First Aid, CPR, AIDS Prevention and Water Safety.

Whenever disaster strikes, people need the means to get food to eat and clothes to wear, and they need a safe place to rest, without delay. Some will need first aid for injuries, essential medications or medical equipment; mental health support while facing the shock and grief of disaster; cleaning supplies; materials to make emergency home repairs; essential furnishings to re-establish their households. The Red Cross will help with all of this, and we could use a hand from you today! We always have to be ready for the next disaster.

The American Red Cross is not a government agency; we rely on the generosity of people like you.
